I don't trust him/her with my kid(s), how can I prevent my kid(s) from seeing their other parent?
In Child Custody cases, unless you can prove abuse and neglect to the level that the State intervenes, your kid[s]' other parent has a right to parent and the kid[s] have a right to be parented by both parents.
Kids need the love and support of both parents, if you have a problem with the other parent, it is your problem, please do not make it the kid[s]' problem too.
Your child should not be made a pawn, or subjected to having conflicted feelings to please you.
I just signed a real estate contract with the realtor, how long do I have before the real estate contract becomes final and binding?
You have 72 hours to have an attorney read and approve the real estate contract or it will be binding on you.
Real Estate contracts should be reviewed within the window provided in the contract in order to protect your rights.
Your real estate attorney can and probably will disapprove the contract and that begins the process of negotiations.
2. My landlord is trying to evict me but the apartment has serious problems so I withheld the rent, now what should I do?
We are and continue to be open to service the legal needs of our existing and future clients, for domestic violence, divorce, child custody and all aspects of family law.
We will be operating remotely and appearing in Court virtual as trial attorneys to promote and support everyone's health and safety.
In person consultations will resume when the Court system resumes in person hearings for all litigants.
Lesley is good at what she does.
She is fair, on time, kept me abreast of everything that was going on and we had very open communication.
I was extremely happy with the results before, during and after trial.
She was well prepared but most of all she fought for me.
Lesley Adams is an amazing attorney and guided me through a very difficult custody battle.
She far exceeded my expectations not only in the court room, but especially in her preparation of my case.
Through Lesley's hard work, conviction and sincerely pushing me to pursue my rights I was able to secure a sound and peaceful environment for my child.
1. Reflect, Meditate, Pray: Whether you are a person of faith, describe yourself as a spiritual person or an agnostic, your marriage was contemplated before you entered it, even if you and your spouse eloped.
The same thought process you used to think about entering your marriage is what you should use to determine the end of your marriage in divorce.
Unless there is domestic violence or domestic abuse involved, which will be covered in a separate article, you need and in deed owe yourself time to think.
