Martin & Helms, P.C
When you have suffered a serious injury, or lost a loved one because of someone else's negligence, the last thing you want to worry about is a lawsuit. At Martin & Helms, we understand that your priorities lie with your family: keeping a roof over their heads, the lights on in your home, and food on your table is what is most important. We also understand that when you're critically injured, you're going to need some help accomplishing these goals.

That is why at Martin & Helms, every claim and case is handled with your best interests in mind. Our Huntsville injury attorneys have spent decades caring for the families of our clients, and fighting for what is right. Whether you are hit by a car in Decatur, injured by a defective product in Madison, get hurt in a fall in Athens, or are the victim of negligence anywhere in Alabama, we are the team you can trust.

Every injury case is different, and every injury victim is different, too. Sometimes, all you need is someone who can help you deal with the insurance company, so you get a fair settlement; other times, your best option is fighting for your future in a jury trial.
Services
Life after an injury can be hard in unexpected ways.
Having a support system behind you can be the difference between adjusting to your "new normal, " or struggling to keep your family safe.

Choosing the right personal injury attorney is an important step in building a better future.
Born and raised in Decatur, Alabama, I obtained my undergraduate degree in finance at the University of Alabama in 1992 and graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1995.
While in law school, I was selected to the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society.
Since 1995, I have concentrated my practice on representing individuals and the families of individuals who have been harmed or injured as a result of the wrongful acts of others.
While practicing in both state and federal courts throughout the country, I have litigated cases involving issues of products liability, tractor-trailer and automobile collisions, dangerous roadways, mass torts, fires and explosions, business disputes, as well as defective pharmaceutical drugs, medical devices and household products.
I grew up on a small farm in Blount County, Alabama.
One of my strengths as a lawyer is my ability to relate to people from all walks of life.
I earned my law degree with honors from the Cumberland School of Law in 1998, where I served on Law Review and the National Moot Court Team and became the first lawyer in my family.
I have been a personal injury lawyer since 1998.
I have devoted my law practice to representing and protecting the rights of survivors of accidents and victims of wrongful death.
Every moment of every day someone is injured because of someone else's negligence or recklessness.
Whether from a fall, a car accident, a dog bite, or a defective product, people get hurt and sometimes the injury causes their death.
When you have sustained a serious injury that was caused by someone else's negligence, aside from the pain and discomfort, dealing with an injury disrupts your life.
With more than 45 years of combined legal experience, the Huntsville personal injury lawyers at Martin & Helms are here to protect your right to recover compensation for your injuries and other losses.
Each time you get behind the wheel, you place an enormous amount of trust in the vehicle you are driving.
You trust that all the parts will operate as they should, and that you will arrive at your destination safely.
Most often, that is precisely what happens, but there are times when an automotive part is defective, and it causes an injury or a fatality.
If you have sustained a serious injury because of an automotive defect, you may be able to hold the manufacturer responsible for your losses.
