Macaraeg Law focuses its practice on labor & employment law and real estate law. Its mission is to equip you with the tools and resources to make decisions about your case, so that we can work together to obtain the best possible outcome. The most important thing about our law practice is helping you. April Macaraeg has over a decade of experience in criminal and civil law.

Before focusing her practice on labor & employment and real estate law, she worked as a legal assistant in a criminal defense firm while obtaining her bachelor's degree from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. After graduation, she went on to work as a paralegal at the Decker Law Firm in Norfolk, VA in their criminal defense and civil departments.

The late Peter Decker, Jr. taught April that the most important thing about practicing law was helping people. For several years April learned from and was mentored by several attorneys at Decker who inspire her to continue her journey into law school. April attended and graduated from Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles, CA.
Services
California is an at-will state which means that employers can terminate an employee for any reason or no reason at all as long as the reason is lawful.
However, if an employer terminates an employee who falls under a protected category, then it is unlawful and you may have case against that employer.
The law prohibits unlawful treatment of an employee such as discrimination or harassment based on a protected category and/or retaliation against an employee for exercising any right under state or federal employment law.
