Established in 1982, Sher, Cummings and Ellis has more than 85 years of combined experience and is dedicated to making you feel comfortable while they seek the most favorable result available in your case. David has been practicing law since 1972 within criminal and civil litigation, legal malpractice, wrongful death, employment litigation, wills, and estates.

He has also been admitted to several district and supreme courts throughout Virginia. Mark earned his law degree from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law in 1978. Since then, he has built an exceptional reputation as a trial lawyer for malpractice, criminal, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death cases for people throughout Northern Virginia. As the newest addition to Sher, Cummings and Ellis, Adam brings a fresh perspective after graduating from the George Mason School of Law.

He is excited to work with the experienced practitioners and staff in achieving favorable results for clients.

After years of practice in the areas of civil and criminal litigation, David Sher and Mark Cummings formed Sher & Cummings in 1983.
In 2003, Mr. Sher and Mr. Cummings were joined by John Ellis, a renowned medical malpractice attorney, and the firm changed its name to Sher, Cummings and Ellis.
Like any successful organization, it is the attorneys of Sher, Cummings and Ellis who make the firm exceptional.
Our attorneys have represented individuals in multi-million dollar lawsuits involving wrongful death, personal injury, defamation, attorney malpractice and fee disputes, as well as various criminal matters ranging from DWI to murder.
The collegiate atmosphere in our office; we generally have two or three interns from the law school working alongside our legal staff.

Adam earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from The College of William and Mary.
Prior to law school, he worked as a paralegal at the law firm of Rees Broome PC in the firm's community association department.
During law school, he was a George Mason School of Law Trial Advocacy Association Board Member.
He is interested in criminal and civil litigation, and very passionate about personal injury.
The opportunity to work closely with experienced practitioners and talented staff while assisting clients in achieving fair and equitable resolutions.
Asta came to our office in 2018 as firm administrator.
She helps keep the firm running by managing our accounting, invoices, and ensures an efficient and organized workplace.
Asta oversees our office and is responsible for anything from firm-related event planning to monitor the business and administration aspects of the law-firm.
Mr. Kibble brings approximately 27 years of federal law enforcement experience, and 16 years of managerial expertise in the corporate sector, to PRM.
This includes senior management positions with DEA, a detail assignment as a senior staff member at the Central Intelligence Agency, and previously serving as the DEA representative to the FBI's Criminal Division.
As a founding and principal partner in PRM, Mr. Kibble has assisted in growing PRM to a multi-million dollar company.
PRM, working with MAXIMUS Inc., is presently an integral part of numerous ongoing federal criminal investigations throughout the United States.
