Since 1982, the Madison County Volunteer Lawyers Program (MCVLP) has changed the lives of thousands of low-income women, children, and men throughout Madison County.
A private 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the MCVLP is the State's oldest pro bono legal services program.
The MCVLP promotes access to justice by inspiring volunteer attorneys to provide high-quality education, advocacy, and representation at no charge to low-income families with basic civil legal needs at critical times in their lives.

We are unable to accept contested divorces, fee-generating cases, Traffic Court cases, EEOC/Discrimination cases, or criminal matters.

Volunteer attorneys working with the MCVLP provide education about the bankruptcy process, in addition to counsel and advice, prior to filing.
Direct representation of eligible debtors is also provided.
