Services
Tom Springer is a Kentucky trial lawyer who represents a variety of clients in both State and Federal courts.
Springer has over 20 years of experience helping clients in their personal injury, workers compensation, social security disability, and civil tort claims.
Springer's practice also includes corporate and real estate law, serving as general counsel for First United Bank and Trust Company and the Sacramento Deposit Bank.
Springer was Plaintiff's counsel in the landmark Kentucky Supreme Court Case of Vision Mining v. Gardner, which struck down Kentucky's unfair black lung law as unconstitutional, allowing injured coal miners afflicted with this disease to obtain the benefits to which they are entitled.
In Hopkins County, Kentucky, coal has been king for many years.
Although an economic blessing, mining has also taken a toll on the miners who worked in the mines.
As a result, the area is home to countless victims of black lung, emphysema and other mining-related illnesses.
Today, as coal mining continues, and with the addition of both light and heavy industrial jobs, injuries and illnesses remain prevalent.
At Springer Law Firm, PLLC, we have dedicated a large part of our practice to protecting those who suffered due to workplace accidents, and we continue to provide legal support to individuals and families whose lives have changed because of accidents, injuries and disabilities.
Tom Springer has over 20 years of experience helping retired coal miners get the State or Federal Black Lung Benefits to which they are entitled.
When the 2002 State Black Lung Law unconstitutionally deprived coal miners of their Black Lung Benefits, Tom Springer fought the law all the way to the Kentucky Supreme Court and won a victory not only for his clients but for all Kentucky coal miners.'
In the 7 years from 2003 to 2009, only 80 coal miners received RIB Black Lung Benefits.
In the 4 years since 2011, 815 coal miners have received either a Black Lung Award or Settlement.
If you face a charge for driving under the influence, drug charges or something more serious, such as attempted murder, our attorney, Thomas Springer, will build a defense strategy tailored to fit your needs.
In addition to planning your criminal defense, he will seek the protection of your constitutional rights.
We offer representation to those living in Hopkins County and the surrounding areas facing a variety of criminal charges, including DUIs, misdemeanors and felony charges on all levels.
