In addition to defending medical malpractice claims against hospitals, doctors and other health care providers, Wilmot & Powell have represented health care facilities in claims brought under the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), responded to claims brought by the Office of Civil Rights, Department of Community Health, the preparation of root cause analysis after a sentinel event and the development of corrective action plans.
