Laura graduated from Duke University in 2003 with a major in Political Science. She received her J.D. in 2006 from William and Mary School of Law, where she served as a staff editor for the William and Mary Law Review. Prior to opening Willis Law, Laura served as a law clerk to now Justice James T. Vaughn, Jr. in the Superior Court of Kent County, practiced insurance litigation in Wilmington, and practiced as an associate at a full-service law firm in Dover.
Active in the community, Laura is involved with the Smyrna Holly's Club, the Ronald McDonald House, Destination Downtown Dover, the Duke University Alumni program, and Asbury United Methodist Church. Laura and her husband, Lincoln, live in Clayton with their two sons. Having worked at large, mid-sized, and small law firms, Laura brings extensive private practice experience to Willis Law.
She prides herself on providing high level legal services, while always being accessible and client focused. She does not subscribe to a "one size fits all" approach to legal services, and appreciates that each client has different objectives and needs.
