The Carlin Law Firm, PLLC is a boutique trial and litigation firm founded with one goal in mind: excellence in all we do. Whether fielding a phone call, drafting a lawsuit, or preparing for or representing a client in a jury or non-jury trial, we endeavor to provide our clients with a most exceptional level of service throughout all phases of our clients' matters.

In some cases, that means aggressively prosecuting or defending a case through trial. In other instances, it means advising our clients when it is in their best interests (for economic or other reasons) to settle a case, rather than to try it before a judge or a jury. Simply put, we seek to provide our clients with candid, competent, and passionate legal representation-the same level of service that we would want to receive if we were to hire someone to handle our own personal legal matter.

We handle all kinds of commercial disputes in state and federal courts, including breach of contract actions, partnership disputes, and shareholder derivative actions.
Services
Experienced in Business, Real Estate, and Civil Litigation in Florida State & Federal Courts.
Of the more than 107,000 lawyers in the State of Florida, only 238 of them are Board Certified in Business Litigation.
Justin Carlin is one of them.
The highest level of recognition for excellence that a Florida business attorney can receive, Board Certification in Business Litigation means that The Florida Bar and the Florida Supreme Court recognize Justin Carlin of the Carlin Law Firm as an expert in representing clients in business disputes.
Justin C. Carlin is a state and federal trial attorney with extensive experience representing clients in business and real estate litigation, probate and trust litigation, and complex divorce litigation.
Justin represents clients in "complex actions" (involving complicated legal issues where the amount in controversy often exceeds $1 million), but also in routine disputes where the amount in controversy is less than $100,000.00.
His clients include entrepreneurs, private businesses, financial institutions, real estate professionals, and individuals involved in a business, property, or civil dispute (simple or complex).
When you retain the Firm to represent you in a business dispute, you are ensuring that you will be represented by an experienced and passionate business lawyer who is well-versed in all aspects of business litigation.
The Firm was founded principally as a business litigation firm with one goal in mind: excellence in all we do.
Accordingly, the Firm's clients can expect to receive a level of service commonly associated with large, national law firms, but with greater personal attention.
Our client-centered approach, experience in litigating cases in state and federal courts, and passion for handling business disputes frequently result in significant savings to our clients in the form of favorable settlements, the elimination of unnecessary litigation expenses, and favorable court rulings in litigation and at trial.
Traditionally, two types of law firms have primarily serviced banks and financial institutions: (a) large, national law firms that charge premium rates; and (b) smaller law firms that handle matters in tremendous volume-so-called "foreclosure mills."
However, in our view, neither of these types of firms is well-suited to service a local or regional bank.
First, because of the numerous, additional regulations imposed on banks in the wake of the financial crisis, most local banks are no longer inclined to pay premium rates.
In the legal community, the term "small business" is used to describe any business enterprise whose stock or ownership interests are not publicly traded.
Small businesses today face a litany of challenges as they seek not only to survive, but thrive, in the marketplace.
These challenges are compounded by a host of legal obligations imposed on business entities (both large and small) by regulatory bodies, including the obligation to pay taxes to various state and federal governmental agencies, to register annually with the Secretary of State in all the states in which the business is conducted, to attain and maintain proper licensing, and to comply with federal and state employment laws.
