Wilson|LF
WLF is a family-focused boutique law firm founded to help parents and small business owners organize their affairs, in style, to protect their investments and provide for their loved ones. Our services are organized into reasonable, flat-fee packages to serve the needs of every family and small business. This allows everyone to prioritize putting a legal plan into place before it is too late--leaving themselves, their children, and their businesses in a precarious, emotional, and expensive situation.

If a family or small business owner cannot afford the package fee, our firm also provides reduced rate and pro bono services based on income and asset qualification.

In addition, we promise to be your trusted counsel for life to ensure that the family and small business plans we help you put in place, which will prove invaluable in the present, are kept up-to-date to account for the evolutionary nature of everyone's life--from growing bank accounts and market fluctuations, a move, a new job, birth of a new child, death of a loved one, health concerns, changing nature of friendships, and everything else that fluctuates and changes on a daily basis.
Services
The firm was founded by Tara K. Wilson who leads the Office of General Counsel to help families and small business owners protect their investments and provide for their families.
The Office of Client Services is the first and primary point of contact for the parents and small business owners we serve.
The Office of Firm Administration works diligently behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Our Board of Advisors guides WLF as a premier estate and small business planning law firms serving parents and small business owners.
WLF was founded to help parents protect themselves and their children.
While you will always be you child's most-loving caretaker, you need to have a plan in place to help your children in you are incapacitated, unavailable, or pass away.
If you don't, the state will be named the guardian of your children under the doctrine of parens patriae - a choice that no parent has ever indicated to us would be best for their children.
Guardian Nomination: Statement of who you would like to raise your minor children if you cannot do so.
There are multiple ways to protect your assets.
While there is no one-size-fits-all approach, there are a number of options that should be implemented.
1. Insurance: Depending on your assets and profession, you should have various policies to adequately cover potential losses.
For example; 1) Renter's Insurance if you rent property; 2) Homeowner's Insurance with an Umbrella Rider is you own your home; 3) Automobile Insurance to cover each vehicle you own/drive; 4) Business Insurance if you own a business to cover general liability, professional liability/malpractice, and employment practices.
WLF will help you and your family proactively plan to help alleviate the stress and emotional turmoil faced when there is a period of illness, incapacity, and/or death.
Some of the proactive planning we provide below helps ensure that you avoid the legal hurdles that your family and friends will face in serious circumstances.
