Jones Law Firm, PA and its predecessors have been serving clients in Anderson, the upstate and other areas of South Carolina since 1972. We have a general civil practice, concentrating in business and personal planning and transactions, as well as various areas of civil litigation. Our firm does not practice in the area of criminal law. Carolyn has been a lawyer since 1976.
She is a graduate of Duke University. She attended graduate school at Vanderbilt University before attending the University of Kentucky College of Law. After attending law school, she clerked for the Kentucky Court of Appeals. She and her late husband Dr. Gregory Baird moved to Anderson, South Carolina after his graduation from medical school in 1978.

A native of Anderson, South Carolina, Clark first began the private practice of law in 1996, with the Jones Law Firm, PA.
Beginning in 1998, he spent six years serving as trust officer administering trust and estates and managing their investments and followed that with four years as the upstate's financial planning specialist for BB&T's Wealth Management Department before returning to active legal practice with the Jones Law Firm, PA in 2008.
In addition to his professional life, Clark is active in the community serving as an elder at Central Presbyterian Church and has served on the Anderson Area YMCA Board of Directors (chairing the Finance Committee), the Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors, and the United Way Endowment Fund Committee.

The building in which our firm is located, at 415 N Main St., was originally constructed in 1930 as the passenger terminal for the P & N Railway.
In 1905, the Anderson Traction Company started trolley service in Anderson.
Later they built an interurban line to Belton.
By 1908, they were in bankruptcy, and were bought out by Duke's Southern Power Company, later the name changed to Duke Power Company.
Duke continued to operate the trolley system, but transferred the line to Belton to the Piedmont and Northern Railway.
