Services
It's important to work with an attorney on your estate plan.
The attorney's role will include guiding you through the creation of fundamental estate planning documents.
These may include a will, health care proxy, and durable power of attorney.
You'll make the decisions, but your attorney can help you think through and understand the sometimes complex implications of each option.
They will also help you communicate your wishes clearly, avoid mistakes, minimize taxes, and adjust your plans as time goes by or your circumstances change.
If you are starting a new business enterprise, you face a number of significant decisions.
High on the list is deciding what type of legal business entity to establish.
For example, you may be debating over whether or not to set up a corporation or a limited liability company (LLC).
Before you can make a decision on which type of legal entity best meets the needs of your start-up or other business enterprise, you need to have a basic understanding of a corporation and LLC.
You must understand what these legal entities have in common and how they differ.
Whether you are buying or selling a home or property, in a real estate law dispute, or contemplating a real estate transaction, it is important to know your rights and have them explained to you by a lawyer.
Real estate law encompasses a broad range of issues in relation to property law that you may have never thought about before such as, easement disputes, foreclosures, injuries, property taxes, neighbor relations, property deeds, real estate warranties, different types of mortgages, insurance, and issues related to buying and selling real estate.
We specialize in evaluation, consultation, mediation, and litigation of disputes involving trusts and estate relationships.
Our clients include individual and corporate trustees, public and private foundations, charities, personal representatives, beneficiaries, and high net worth individuals.
In the midst of the largest generational transfer of wealth in the nation's history, high stakes disagreements frequently arise concerning the validity and meaning of trust instruments and wills, the appropriate management and distribution of the assets which pass under them, and the conduct of the fiduciaries responsible for managing and distributing those assets.
Arizona law allows heirs to collect the assets of a deceased using a small estate affidavit or small estate transfer form as proscribed in the statutes.
Use of these types of affidavits is allowed only on estates that are under the small estate limits (currently $100,000 for real estate and $50,000 for personal property).
Knight Law has successfully assisted many clients through the years with avoiding the expense of a full probate case by using small estate affidavits.
Please contact us if you need more information on how these affidavits can help you save money.
