We represent clients for all levels of felony appeals -from capital murder to ordinary assaults. We represent clients in family law appeals and in most civil appeals including people in appeals of Protective Orders. We have experience with all variety of state writs and with 2254 and 2255 writs in federal court. Helping clients who have a sales tax assessment facing them from the State Comptroller's Office.

Niles has represented clients in the administrative process before DPS and in mandamus proceedings to remove the client from the sex offender registry. Niles finds writs of mandamus to be among the most intellectually satisfying work he does. D., J.D. I represent clients who have been convicted of a variety of crimes, ranging from driving while intoxicated to murder.

I also represent civil litigants who have either prevailed in the trial court and need to protect a judgment or who have had a judgment entered against them. I have extensive experience as a Criminal and Civil Appellate Attorney, and I have worked as a briefing attorney for a Justice on the First Court of Appeals in Houston, Texas.
Services
Federal criminal appeals out of Texas are heard in the Fifth Court of Appeals in New Orleans, Louisiana.
It is not necessary or even helpful for an attorney to reside in New Orleans to practice in front of the Fifth Court of Appeals.
Instead, the overwhelming preponderance of the federal criminal appeal is accomplished through electronic filing.
We represent clients for all levels of felony appeals-from capital murder to ordinary assaults.
We take a creative approach to identifying the right issues for your appeal.
An appellate attorney practices in any of the various intermediate-appellate courts or the apex courts.
Appellate attorneys usually practice in both state and federal court.
An appellate attorney may assist during trial but his or her primary function will be to represent a client before the intermediate-appellate court or the court of last resort (Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, Texas Supreme Court, or Untied States Supreme Court).
Generally law school does much to prepare someone to become an appellate attorney.

I feel compelled to leave another review for Niles. I already left one review for him on another site. But, what he accomplished on my Civil Appeal was so spectacular I could leave 100 5 star reviews and it would not be enough in my opinion.

Niles, is the best Appeal Attorney (criminal or civil) that you could hope for.

What he accomplished in my case is Amazing. He actually 'revived' my case (overturned very complex Summary Judgement). There is already an article online about the case. ( The decision was only handed down 48 hrs. ago. )

If you get the chance to hire him, do not hesitate, you will be getting the best Appeal Attorney around.
