Mediation is a form of alternative dispute resolution where an impartial mediator utilizes a variety of tools to help disputing parties reach an agreement rather than accepting a decision from a third party like a judge.
Mediation allows parties to reach their own solutions to disputes.
The mediator acts more as a referee, and is not allowed to take sides or impose decisions.
