As an attorney, I am licensed to practice law in Alabama, Georgia, and Florida.
The focus of my practice is primarily in Shelby County and Jefferson County; however, I have successfully argued cases before the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals and the Supreme Court of Alabama.
My undergraduate degree is from Wesleyan College, where I graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors.
I studied law at Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama and received my Juris Doctorate degree in 1983.
Matthew Griffin has been licensed to practice law since 2014 and is a lifelong resident of the Birmingham area.
Prior to obtaining his Juris Doctorate degree from the Birmingham School of Law, Matt attended the University of Alabama.
During law school, he was a full time employee of the Jefferson County Domestic Relations Court.
While there, he gained valuable experience in the field of divorce and family law.
Matt's primary areas of practice include divorce, custody, child support, visitation, asset and debt division, criminal law, and probate law.
