Shortly after passing the bar, Robert D. Moreton ("Rob") accepted a job at a small law firm in Woodbridge, Virginia.
Due to space constraints, he shared a workspace with Fenlene H. Edrington ("Fenlene") until the firm moved to an office large enough to enable most of the firm's attorneys to have private offices.
While both Rob and Fenlene enjoyed the advantages of having private offices, they soon discovered that they were better attorneys when they worked closely to identify legal problems and to challenge each other's legal argument.
While family law and bankruptcy issues can be overwhelming and emotionally draining, Mr. Moreton takes a practical approach to each of his cases, working with client to determine their priorities and develop a strategy tailored to the unique needs and circumstances of their case.
Mr. Moreton understands that there is no substitution for hard work and preparation when it comes to resolving complex and emotional issues.
Mr. Moreton represents clients in Circuit Courts and Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Courts throughout Northern Virginia.
Fenlene H. Edrington earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor and her juris doctorate from Arizona State University where she was an associate editor of the law review.
She was an extern in the United States Bankruptcy Court and the Arizona State Tax Court.
Fenlene represents clients before the United State Bankruptcy Court and in the circuit, general district, and juvenile and domestic relations district courts of Fairfax, Prince William, Loudoun, Alexandria, Stafford, and Arlington.

Divorce is not an easy decision.
Even if partners are on good terms with one another, once they begin discussing their assets and debts, homes, cars, boats, businesses, investments, student loans, bank accounts-they often realize that an uncontested divorce can be quite complex.
To further complicate things, it can be difficult to get a divorce in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
While much has changed, Virginia's laws still reflect traditional notions that divorce is against the public interest.
For this reason, Virginia does not allow anyone to file for divorce unless they first establish separation and/or grounds for divorce.
