Mass Housing Law Group, LLP, doing business as Broderick Bancroft & Saccardi is the preeminent housing law firm in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and is the product of a recent merger of five housing attorneys with a combined 120 years of legal expertise in the housing context. Attorney Kenneth C. Vining, Attorney Edward Rice, Attorney Christopher T. Saccardi, Attorney Dan Bancroft and Attorney Dan Broderick recently merged their respective law practices to form the Mass Housing Law Group, LLP.

While some attorneys have broad practices under which they accept a wide variety of cases, we focus exclusively on landlord-tenant law. We have pursued literally thousands of landlord-tenant cases in the Housing, District, and Superior Courts in Massachusetts, representing both landlords and tenants. In addition to dealing with residential tenancies, we also have considerable experience representing commercial landlords and tenants.

Ken was born and raised in Medford, Massachusetts.
He graduated Medford High School in 1992, Suffolk University in 1996 and Massachusetts School of Law in 1999 and has had his office in the same location in Somerville for the past 22 years.
Over the years, he has litigated housing disputes in District Court, Superior Court, Appeals Court, Supreme Judicial Court and Housing Court throughout Eastern Massachusetts.
Not only is Ken a specialist in housing matters as an attorney but he is also a landlord dealing with his own tenants.
Attorney Rice has been licensed to practice law in Massachusetts since 1997.
He attended Boston College Law School and the University of Minnesota Law School.
After many years working for legal services, Attorney Rice started a private practice focused exclusively on housing law.
He has successfully litigated landlord-tenant cases in District Court, Housing Court, Superior Court, Federal District Court and Bankruptcy Court - including both jury and bench trials.
Attorney Rice has also successfully represented clients in the Appeals Court.
Attorney Saccardi is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Northeastern University School of Law.
He focuses on landlord-tenant law in Boston and the surrounding communities.
In 2012, Attorney Saccardi was named by the Boston Bar Association as a 2012-2013 Public Interest Leader.
An active volunteer with the Volunteer Lawyer Project's housing court programs, Attorney Saccardi was awarded VLP's 2011 Denis Maguire Pro Bono Award for exceptional service in accepting and handling pro bono cases.
Prior to starting his own practice, Attorney Saccardi was a litigation associate at Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge in Boston.
BRODERICK BANCROFT: Founded in 1981 by Dan Broderick and Dan Bancroft, the firm began as a general law practice, including criminal defense, real estate and civil litigation.
By the mid-1980's, the firm began its concentration on representing owners and managers of subsidized housing, with representative clients throughout New England.
Over the next 30+ years, the firm grew, along with many of its clients, representing thousands of affordable housing units, including federal and state project-based subsidized properties, as well as Low Income Housing Tax Credit properties.
