Attorney Michael Bradley
As a solo practitioner I provide one-on-one service, treating each case as unique and giving personal attention to every client. Specializing in personal injury law, I've been providing legal services to clients throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island since 1985. In 1990 I started my own law practice focusing on helping people who have been injured by negligence or professional malpractice.

In Connecticut Attorney Bradley represents clients in Norwich, New London, Canterbury, Plainfield, Danielson, Putnam, Willimantic, Pomfret, Lisbon, Griswold, Moossup, Groton, Killingly, and Stonington, including New London County, Wyndham County, Tolland County and New Haven County. In Rhode Island he represents clients in Westerly, Wakefield, Warwick, Cranston, and Providence, including Washington County, Kent County, and Providence County.
Services
I graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1977 and from the University of Maine Law School in 1985.
After several years working for other lawyers, I began my own practice in 1990, specializing in personal injury law.
Unlike many large law firms, or "litigation machines", I do not make my living by "farming out" cases and accepting referral fees.
Instead, I do the work myself and limit the number of cases I take on so that every client I represent receives the time, energy and resources they deserve.
I have been representing clients in Connecticut and Rhode Island for over 25 years.
My practice focuses on wrongful death and catastrophic personal injury claims involving car accidents, trucking accidents, medical malpractice, nursing care malpractice, and defective product-related injuries.
I also help clients with workers' compensation and legal malpractice claims, and with civil claims against law enforcement or other government authorities.
Personal injury: The laws of Rhode Island and Connecticut are very different.
There are two major mistakes to avoid after a car accident.
The first is failing to seek medical attention or follow the advice of a medical provider.
The second mistake is to wait too long before contacting a lawyer.
If you have been injured in a car accident, contact my office by phone or email to schedule a free consultation.
It's difficult to demonstrate the connection between injuries and the car accident when people either fail to seek medical attention or neglect to follow the advice of health care providers.
Catastrophic injuries are life changing.
The damage caused by a head injury or the loss of a limb will not heal over time, and a return to the way things were before is not realistic.
The challenge lawyers face in these cases is making certain their clients receive the compensation needed to obtain the best health care available and to regain as much quality of life as possible.
I have experience representing clients with serious head injuries, paralysis, burns, amputations and other life-altering traumas.
The powers given to local, state and federal government authorities are broad and immense.
In our democracy, however, those powers are not unlimited.
They are held in check by what the framers of our Constitution so eloquently once termed "certain inalienable rights".
Freedom of expression, freedom of religion, the right to privacy and several protections against the abuse of police power are included among those rights.
In addition to the first-ever jury verdict against the Rhode Island State Police, I have obtained settlements and verdicts in cases involving the Connecticut State Police, the City of Stonington, the City of Westerly, and other state and local authorities.
