A graduate of Mercy College and Whittier College School of Law in California, John joined Gugliotta & Ponzini, P.C. in 1995. He primarily handles complex civil cases involving business disputes and government agency regulatory actions, with clients ranging from insurance agencies to vitamin manufacturers to artists and art galleries. As a strong believer in protecting people's rights and ensuring they receive quality representation, Attorney Gugliotta takes a strategic and no-nonsense approach to the practice of law.

After earning her B.A. in Criminal Justice from Iona College and her J.D. from Pace University's Elisabeth Haub School of Law in White Plains, New York, Erina practiced law in a corporate environment for more than a decade. She realized she wanted to help individuals and businesses on a more personal level, and joined Gugliotta & Ponzini, P.C. in 2013.

Erina is a committed legal advocate and community member, acting on the board of several nonprofit organizations in the New York area.

The Firm's foundation was initially laid over 50 years ago by Richard G. Gugliotta.
From inception, we have been a full-service firm providing counsel to individuals on matters of Criminal Defense, Personal Injury, Real Estate, and Estate Planning.
In 1995, the practice was expanded to Gugliotta and Associates with the addition of John C. Gugliotta and the California office in Newport Beach.
In 2013, with the addition of Erina R. Ponzini as partner, Gugliotta & Ponzini was formed, and thus expanding practice areas to include Business Law and Supplemental Needs Trust, as well as the ability to practice law in the State of Connecticut.
Ms. Erian R. Ponzini began her legal career as a corporate attorney with a prestigious firm focusing on corporate law, regulatory compliance, employment law, contract, and litigation.
After practicing in a corporate environment for 15 years, Ms. Ponzini realized that she could make a larger difference in our world by bringing her corporate experience to today's Entrepreneurs and the sole individual.
Ms. Ponzini is admitted to practice law in New York and Connecticut as well as the United States District Court for both the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
Louis J. Salerno began his career as an Assistant Attorney General in Columbus, Ohio litigating civil rights cases in US District Court and the Sixth Circuit.
Mr. Salerno then entered private practice in Washington DC where he developed his practice in civil and criminal litigation, international export trade compliance, transactional corporate and government contracts, and employment law developing expertise in training, investigations (criminal and civil), EEO policy, human resources, counseling, mediation, and dispute resolution.
