He then co-founded the firm of Beier, Beier & Beier with his wife Mary.
Bart has extensive litigation experience in a wide range of personal injury cases including slip and falls, auto accidents, and defective products.
He provides clients with special insight into insurance practices, having worked for two major insurers before practicing law.
Bart also has developed considerable real estate expertise with 35 years of experience.
Mary Beier graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and then co-founded the law firm of Beier, Beier & Beier with her husband Bart Beier.
She is an experienced litigator with particular emphasis on personal injury and equine litigation.
Mrs. Beier also works in the firm's family law practice.
She focuses on client communication and understanding throughout the course of a client's legal problem.
She is adept at working out creative and cost-effective solutions that clients can be happy with.
When a faulty product or another person's careless or even intentional action harms an individual, the injured person may have grounds for a personal injury claim or lawsuit.
Persons held responsible for the injury are liable for the harm, and the court may order them to pay compensatory damages to the injured party.
Compensatory damages tries to restore the injured party to the position he or she was in before the injury.
Punitive damages are also awarded in some cases.
Punitive damages are meant to punish the party at fault, and deter from injuring others.
Real estate law includes both federal and state issues, as well as many local rules that vary by municipality and county.
Most people at one time or another find themselves subject to some of these regulations.
Whether you are purchasing your first home, leasing an apartment, appealing tax assessments, or developing commercial real estate, our law firm can help you.
Our firm has 35 years of real estate experience and regularly handles a wide variety of real estate matters.
Senior Counsel Bart Beier has been a real estate title agent for over 20 years.
At Beier Law, we are full-service real estate lawyers.
One part of this practice is real estate assessment appeals.
We fight to lower the tax assessments for residential and commercial properties across Southwestern Pennsylvania.
We handle cases where we are seeking to lower a current tax assessment, and we also handle cases where our clients want to limit potential tax increases.
If interested, you can also access the 2019 Allegheny County Real Estate Assessment Appeal form or to see a sample fee agreement for contingent fee representation.
