In my years of real estate law practice, I have helped many clients in matters including suits to partition property and suits to establish title by adverse possession.
Suits to partition property involve dividing property between co-owners.
This partition of property can be accomplished in one of two ways.
One way is partition in kind which refers to the actual physical division of land by metes and bounds.
The other is partition by sale, a judicially-ordered sale of the property when partition in kind is not feasible or cannot be achieved in a manner that is just and equitable.

Recent changes in the law have made it easier for a child you have disinherited in your Will to challenge the Will in Court and successfully assert a claim to a portion of your estate.
We will explain to you several strategies to prevent the child you are disinheriting from defeating your wishes after your death.
We will provide information explaining the instruments you can put in place designed to carry out your wishes if you become unable to take care of yourself and after your death.
Did you know, for example, that what is commonly referred to as a "Living Will" is not a Will at all, but rather a Directive to Physicians allowing a doctor to decide whether measures to extend your life will be taken under certain circumstances?

Unlike some other law firms that handle family law cases, this firm has had both professional and personal experience in contested child custody cases and divorce cases.
We understand the current legal system and what type of evidence is considered most important to the Judge when deciding your case.
If possible in your case, we will guide you in developing testimony and documents from witnesses who are "disinterested, " which is a legal term that means the person does not have a personal interest in your case.

The information you provide to us in connection with our services for you will be kept strictly confidential.
The only exception would be if you tell us you are going to commit a crime, which of course is something you would not do.
When you need services of any kind, you want to know how much it will cost.
Some attorneys always charge by the hour.
That is almost like signing a blank check payable to the attorney.
Our objective is, whenever possible, to charge a flat fee, meaning a specific dollar amount, for the service we provide.
