To support Access to Justice for All by recruiting volunteer lawyers to provide legal information, advice, and representation in civil legal matters to low-income persons who are residents of Lake, Porter, Jasper, & Newton Counties. For Applicants: We screen for eligibility, provide immediate legal advice, information or referrals to other agencies, and, where appropriate, refer applicants to a volunteer attorney for further legal services - civil cases only.

What Legal Problems are eligible for possible assistance from one of our volunteer attorneys?
An Indiana non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization founded in 2001 under the Indiana Supreme Court's pro bono initiative, Rule 6.5 of Indiana's Rules of Professional Conduct.
Not-for-profit charitable organizations that primarily serve low-income persons and are officed in one of our counties.
What Legal Problems are eligible for possible assistance from one of our volunteer attorneys?

Foreclosure Defense (primary residence only) - 250% (Example: 2 person household: weekly gross income from all sources not over $838.00).
Appeals: To apply for pro bono assistance with appeal of a civil case, please contact the Indiana Bar Foundation.
Housing: tenant/landlord issues, foreclosure defense, warranty of habitability, title to property.
Elder law: simple probate/estates, powers of attorney, health care powers of attorney, guardianship of impaired adults.
We will need complete information, with details, about you, your legal problem, and the name of all persons involved in your case.
