I am an attorney with a practice in the Greater Danbury Connecticut area, including Bethel, Ridgefield, Redding, Newtown, Danbury, Brookfield, Wilton, Southbury, Middlebury and Waterbury. As I appreciate the time constraints of my clients, I make myself available to make "house calls" to residences or places of business. I have been practicing law for thirty years and the bottom line is I really enjoy working with and advocating for my clients.

Not surprisingly the firm is heavily customer service oriented. We communicate early and often, advise what to anticipate and time sequence to avoid unwelcome surprises, and provide individualized attention since no one transaction (or client) is exactly like another. As a result returning clients and referrals constitute the great majority of the firm's business.

My work involves helping people with real estate transactions for their homes and businesses, purchases, sales, refinances and problems involving title issues and disputes. I work closely with buyers, sellers, lenders and real estate brokers to help my clients navigate the process and to have a positive, hassle-free experience.

Buying or selling a home is the most significant financial transaction that many individuals undertake in their lifetime.
While this can be an exciting time, without the proper legal guidance, the process can be frustrating, overwhelming and more expensive than necessary.
Even if there are no obvious disagreements between the Buyer and Seller, it is advisable for each party to enter into real estate transactions with one's own attorney who can help steer them away from common pitfalls and facilitate a smooth transfer of the property.
Our firm represents and assists companies and entrepreneurs with starting a business, maintaining an existing business or with changes to their business.
We also assist with the process of buying or selling a business.
We advise on the business startup and formation process as well as issues related to selection of entity type.
Draft customer agreements for the specific business, including home improvement contractors.
Communicate with other advisors, including business accountants, brokers, and consultants on behalf of client.
While nobody wants to think about death or disability, establishing an estate plan consistent with your goals and wishes is one of the most important steps you can take to protect yourself and your loved ones.
Estate planning not only puts you in charge, it can also spare your loved ones of the expense, delay and frustration associated with managing your affairs when you pass away or become disabled.
A will is the document that directs what happens to certain assets at death.
The assets that pass under the Will are called probate assets.
When a loved one passes away, his or her estate often goes through a court-managed process called probate or estate administration where the assets of the deceased are managed and distributed.
The length of time needed to complete the probate of an estate depends on the size and complexity of the estate and the local rules and schedule of the probate court.
Probate is primarily a process through which title is transferred from the name of the deceased to the names of the beneficiaries.
In addition the Probate Courts in Connecticut issue documentation to enable the sale of real property, ensure the proper amount of probate fees and taxes are paid, if applicable, ensure the proper administration of the will and of testamentary trusts, and provide a venue for the resolution of disagreements with creditors, beneficiaries and other parties.
