What is Adoption? Adoption is a process whereby a person assumes the parenting of another, usually a child, from that person's biological or legal parent or parents, and, in so doing, permanently transfers all rights and responsibilities, along with filiation, from the biological parent or parents. When two or more parties become embroiled in a legal dispute seeking money or another specific performance rather than criminal sanctions, civil litigation is the result.

They must instead head to the courtroom for trial so a judge or jury can decide the matter. A lawyer who specializes in civil litigation is known as a "litigator" or a "trial lawyer." We represent clients across a broad spectrum of associated proceedings, including pretrial hearings and depositions, as well as arbitration or mediation before administrative agencies or court personnel.

What is Family Law? Family law is an area of the law that deals with family matters and domestic relations including any issues with: marriage, civil unions, and domestic partnerships; adoption and surrogacy; the termination of relationships and ancillary matters, including divorce, annulment, property settlements, alimony, mental and physical abuse of the spouse and/or children; child custody and visitation, child support and alimony awards; juvenile adjudication; paternity testing and paternity fraud.

Adoption is the creation by law of the relationship of parent and child between two individuals.
There are many types of Civil Litigation - Civil litigation encompasses a broad range of disputes, and litigators generally specialize in one or two specific practice areas.
We specialize in the following areas: business litigation, products liability, general tort law, divorce and personal injury.
In a divorce, the vast majority of family law proceedings come about as a result of the termination of a marriage or romantic relationship.
We will help our clients to file for a separation or divorce, for alimony, and for child custody, visitation, and support.
Common family law subjects include divorce or annulment, child custody and visitation rights, child support payments, and spousal support / alimony.
Family law specifically deals with children in regards to adoption, guardianship, and state child protection, and domestic violence and restraining orders for adults.
We provide legal services in any of the foregoing areas.
We have prepared pre-nuptial agreements for couples prior to their marriage, we, of course, have specialized in adoption and surrogacy, termination of parental rights for unknown biological father's, prepared Modification agreements for child custody, visitation and child support and represented a party in a legitimation.
When that happens-and it is a "when" and not an "if"-you probably want to control how those things are given to the people or organizations you care most about.
To ensure your wishes are carried out, you need to provide instructions stating whom you want to receive something of yours, what you want them to receive, and when they are to receive it.
You will, of course, want this to happen with the least amount paid in taxes, legal fees, and court costs.
That is estate planning-making a plan in advance and naming whom you want to receive the things you own after you die.
We provide legal representation to those who claim to have been injured, physically or psychologically, as a result of the negligence or wrongdoing of another person, company, government agency, or other entity.
Thus, personal injury lawyers tend to be especially knowledgeable and have more experience with regard to the area of law known as tort law, which includes civil wrongs and economic or non-economic damages to a person's property, reputation, or rights.
Also note, a personal injury claim, by definition, DOES include claims for the death of a family member by wrongful means (wrongful death claims).
