Services
If you are involved in an automobile accident you are required to stop and exchange information with the other driver.
If there is an injury or death you must immediately call the California Highway Patrol (CHP) or local police agency and report the accident.
If there is an injury but the police don't arrive or if the injured person leaves the scene, you must make a written report with the CHP or local police agency.
If you cause damage to another person's property while driving, such as a fence, unattended vehicle, fire hydrant, etc., you are required to make a reasonable attempt at the scene to try and find the owner of the property you damaged.
