A workplace injury triggers many challenges and difficulties in more ways than one.
First, an injured worker must cope with pain and suffering while seeking to heal and recover from the injury itself.
In addition, financial challenges arise from medical bills and lost time from work.
If your worker's compensation benefits are denied, delayed or cut off, it only adds to your hardships and stress.
The Belt Law Firm, P.C., offers reliable counsel and strong advocacy for workers' compensation claims and appeals.
Some occupations are notoriously hazardous.
Construction work, nursing and commercial trucking are jobs in which many workers suffer injuries sooner or later.
Other occupations appear safe and sedate, but injuries still occur.
Office jobs and retail jobs do not have a reputation for being dangerous; however, many employees in these lines of work suffer from repetitive use injuries, such as carpal tunnel syndrome.
Others fall victim to accidents such as slip-and-fall injuries.
If you were injured in the scope of employment, your employer must cover your medical treatment and provide disability benefits under Pennsylvania workers' compensation.
Denial of a workers' compensation claim sometimes begins with an employer.
The employer may refuse to cooperate, contending that an injury was not related to work activity.
The employer may imply or state outright that an injured worker has fabricated or exaggerated an injury.
A denial or delay of your workers' compensation benefits can prevent you from getting needed medical treatment and cause financial hardships.
The Belt Law Firm, P.C., can step in to advocate for you in appealing your case.
