Jay Sheth Law Office
I am a Personal Injury and Workers Compensation Attorney who has been practicing in Illinois since 1996. Most of my work has been in the areas of personal injury and workers compensation - but I have handled family law matters, business matters, real estate, general litigation, social security disability and bankruptcy law matters.

I have tried cases at almost every level in the Illinois legal system, including civil cases, workers compensation claims, and administrative cases (like Social Security or Illinois Human Services). In addition, I have handled several appellate cases as well. During the course of my career - at firms I worked with - as well as in my own practice, I have handled cases which have led to payments of millions of dollars in awards after trial or settlement.

But, I also believe that having the client walk away feeling that a wrong has been made right is as important as well. Please Note: If you are in need of urgent legal advice, please send me an e-mail describing your situation, or call me directly at 630/964-5700 and if I don't answer right away, leave a message with my assistant and I will get back to you as soon as I can - usually within a couple hours.
Services
In addition to jury and workers compensation awards, below is a short list of some of my legal results obtained on behalf of my clients over the years.
Workers compensation benefits awarded after an Appeal for a home-health worker whose claim was first denied by the Arbitrator for serious neck and back work-related injuries.
After I filed suit against the Social Security Administration in Federal Court, the U.S. Attorney agreed to a new Administrative Law Hearing after a denial of benefits on a Social Security case.
I try my best within the limits of the law to get the best results for my clients, but I also try to be as attentive and responsive as I can during the representation.
I believe that how clients are treated and how they feel when they walk away from the case are as important as the results obtained.
I first met Jay in May of 2015.
I was still in a lot of pain after sustaining a serious injury to my left wrist at work in late April.
Jay had a very calming personality and was able to explain the whole process of workman's comp litigation in very professional and easy to understand manner.
Most attorneys - including myself - do not charge up front for handling injury cases.
Attorneys fees are paid only if the client recovers and it is generally some percentage of the settlement and recovery once the case is over.
These types of fees are called "contingency fees" because they are contingent upon recovery to the client.
This is why you commonly see the advertisement by attorneys - "No fees unless you recover."
For most non-injury cases, most attorneys charge by the hour for the actual work they do.
