As a Board Certified Specialist in Estate Planning and Probate Law, Beth Tillman focuses her practice on estate and gift tax planning and estate administration.
She has particular expertise in blended family estate planning, pet trusts, probate matters, and trust administration.
Beth's clients cite her outstanding knowledge of the law yet clear and compassionate approach as particular strengths honed over more than 20 years of professional and legal experience.
As a founding partner of the firm Beth envisions its mission as serving clients attentively and thoroughly.
Joining the firm as a partner in 2013, Willis P. Whichard brings decades of experience in the law to Tillman, Whichard, and Cagle, PLLC.
Beth Tillman was his law clerk twenty years ago when he served on the North Carolina Supreme Court.
They have remained friends ever since.
Prior to beginning his political career, Willis Whichard was in private practice in Durham for many years.
During that period, he acted as the Public Administrator for estates and the Public Guardian in Durham County.
Much of his work focused on estate planning and probate.
Amy Walker Cagle is a Board Certified Specialist in Estate Planning and Probate Law, focusing her practice on estate and gift tax planning, probate law, and trust administration.
She has helped hundreds of clients navigate probate matters with the court and strives to use this experience to create straightforward and functional estate plans tailored to her client's desires.
Amy's clients cite her competency and sincerity as particular strengths that allow them to easily understand the process and to feel confident with any decisions they make.
Angie Spong joined the firm in 2018 and focuses her practice on estate planning, estate administration, and guardianships.
As the daughter of two retired teachers and a former teacher herself, Angie excels at clarifying complex legal concepts and tailoring her counsel and approach to each client's unique needs.
