Since 1988, Robert S. Balter, P.C., has provided exceptional client service in estate planning, estate and trust administration and tax compliance. Estate planning and tax planning are extremely complex areas of law, particularly for individuals and families with substantial assets. It is essential to work closely with an attorney who understands the legal issues involved.

It is equally important to retain an attorney who will develop strategies that are shaped to your specific needs. I am attorney Robert S. Balter. I have practiced law for more than 40 years. Since 1988, I have devoted my practice to helping clients throughout Southeast Pennsylvania in estate planning, tax law, and estate and trust administration. With locations in Jenkintown and King of Prussia, I serve clients across the greater Philadelphia area, including Montgomery, Bucks, Delaware and Chester counties.

I believe it is crucial to develop a close relationship with my clients. Estate planning can involve unique family dynamics, complex tax matters, and other special considerations.
Services
I earned my J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1972 and my undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
In 1985, I earned an LL.M. (Master of Laws) degree in tax from Temple University Beasley School of Law.
With more than 30 years of legal experience focused on estate planning, probate and tax law, I have the breadth and depth of experience you need to achieve your goals.
I am AV Preeminent* peer review rated through Martindale-Hubbell, its highest rating.
Prior to opening my own law firm in 1988, I served as a tax law specialist in the IRS Chief Counsel's Office.
Estate planning, at least our approach to estate planning, is very different from most other legal practice areas in one way: it is much more personal.
From selection of charities to selection of trustees and successor trustees - not to mention the selection of guardians for children and special needs children, every aspect of estate planning is intensely personal.
And so is our practice (indeed, it was dissatisfaction with the impersonal nature of other practice areas that inclined me to shift my area of practice to estate planning in the first place).
Robert S. Balter has done exemplary legal work for my family over the past twenty years.
He has individualized wills, trusts and powers of attorney that meet our needs and help us feel more protected as we plan for the future.
The trusts have helped us establish creditor protection, and are a secure way to provide for our children's future.
Mr. Balter is extremely knowledgeable in the field of estate planning and tax law.
I appreciate the fact that he always makes himself available to answer my questions and provides me with his insights in an expeditious manner.
Carl Quintanilla was interviewing Bill Marriott one day and they were in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Mr. Quintanilla, after reciting that Mr. Marriott had been a long-time Ferrari collector, suggested that perhaps they could continue the interview while taking a ride in one of Mr. Marriott's Ferraris.
Mr. Marriott agreed and the interview so proceeded.
After driving around a bit, Mr. Quintanilla said, "You're not very timid driving this car."
And Mr. Marriott replied, "Life doesn't reward timidity.".
