Trey was born and raised in Brooksville, Florida.
In 2005, he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminology and Law from the University of Florida.
In 2009, Trey obtained his Juris Doctor from Atlanta's John Marshall Law School.
During law school, Trey was invited to join law review as a staff member, and during his third year of law school he was chosen by the board to serve as Managing Editor of the John Marshall Law Journal.

In addition to his practice in state court, Mr. Faught was admitted to the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida in 1978, and has handled federal cases in the State of Florida and in other jurisdictions.
In the last 40 years, Mr. Faught has represented thousands of clients in and around the Tampa Bay area.
Mr. Faught is not intimidated by the courtroom, and he has taken hundreds of these cases to trial, seeking justice for his clients.
