Services
Billy J. Hubbell is the founder and principal attorney of Hubbell Law and has been a Southeast Arkansas trial lawyer for 36 years.
He has served as a part time district Judge for Crossett and Ashley County for 24 years, six years as a juvenile judge in Desha County, and six years as a deputy prosecuting attorney in Lincoln and Ashley Counties.
Billy graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a BSE in social studies and a minor in speech.
He was also a member of the Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity.
If you've been charged with a crime, you can be sure that the police and prosecutors will aggressively work to convict you.
Who will fight for you?
If you call Hubbell Law, that answer could be former prosecutor Billy Hubbell.
While all attorneys are technically qualified to handle a criminal case, few can claim the experience of having handled a criminal case from the positions of prosecutor, judge, and defense attorney and the direct insight into how each party approaches a case that comes with that experience.
Disputes are simply a part of business.
Shipments arrive late, payments are delayed, and people don't follow through on their promises.
Even if you try to protect yourself with strong contracts, it's almost inevitable that at some point you'll become involved in a business conflict that you can't resolve without help.
Hubbell Law is here to help business owners in Dermott, Eudora, Crossett, and surrounding Arkansas.
We believe in taking a problem solving approach to resolving conflicts.
While you may want to have a wrong righted, the best solution is almost always to be flexible.
Even though the term "accident" generally means that no one intended for it to happen, people who cause accidents are generally legally responsible for compensating anyone who was injured for their losses.
This is because while accidents may not be intended, they are almost always caused by the negligence or recklessness of one of the involved parties.
Often, the cause is a failure to follow safety procedures.
Maybe a driver was speeding or ran a red light or a store worker failed to properly secure a display.
If you're injured on the job, you don't need to worry about how to pay your bills while you recover.
Workers' compensation was designed to get you through this exact situation.
Unlike in a personal injury claim, you don't need to show that your employer did anything wrong.
You just need to fill out some paperwork documenting your injury and the fact that it happened on the job.
Unfortunately, while the process sounds simple, things aren't that easy in practice.
Workers' compensation is a form of insurance paid for by employers, and there is an incentive to deny claims to keep both medical costs and insurance premium costs low.
