Our goal through this is website is to provide all citizens of Adams County the information and access they need to our office. The Adams County Prosecuting Attorney's Office serves as a minister of justice and an advocate for victims across Adams County. We also investigate and prosecute criminal activity that occurs within the borders of Adams County.
We work closely with the Adams County Sheriff's Office and other law enforcement bodies to ensure that justice is being served to criminals and that victims have a voice. David Kelley is the elected Prosecuting Attorney in Adams County. He was first elected in 2000, and then re-elected in 2004, 2012, and 2016. He is responsible for all criminal prosecutions (felony, misdemeanor, and appellate) in Adams County.
He oversees an office of seven attorneys and six support staff, along with other attorneys retained for special litigation. He is responsible for defending and advising county agencies on a wide variety of legal matters, including: federal and state litigation, civil rights and discrimination claims, claims against law enforcement officers and agencies, and tort claims.
