The common thread that underlies the foundation of Silver & Collins is that all of the attorneys who work at the firm started their law career somewhere else but returned here to the North Country out of their love for the area, its people and the environment it provides to their families. We each chose to return to this great part of our state to represent the people, the businesses, schools, and even churches that make up this great area commonly referred to as the "North Country".

Since 2004 it has been known as Silver & Collins and is devoted to providing high-quality legal services with an emphasis on personal attention to each client no matter what the legal issue is.

We are somewhat selective in what matters we choose to take on in this area of law principally because matters of this type can often have life-altering results and so when we decide to handle a criminal defense, we take it very seriously.

We know the local criminal justice system players and how to navigate within that system to get results that are fair.

Our most common divorce scenario which we often agree to handle is when the parties are amicable and wish to simply have the appropriate paperwork done and filed so they can legally part ways.
We will do these uncontested divorces only when they do not involve children (or the children are of adult age) and where the parties have no disagreement as to the division of assets.
The other type of divorce we will sometimes agree to handle is where there are no children (or the children are of adult age) and there are significant assets to be protected.
