Michael Horowitz has represented hundreds of individuals and has tried dozens of misdemeanor and felony trials. His cases and trials have spanned the entire spectrum of criminal charges from disorderly conduct and drug possession to kidnapping and murder. Throughout those cases, Michael Horowitz has won numerous not-guilty verdicts, acquittals, and dismissals.

He presently accepts criminal cases throughout Northern Michigan in counties such as Grand Traverse, Wexford, Kalkaska, Antrim, Charlevoix, Emmet, Otsego, and Roscommon. Michael Horowitz provides appellate representation in civil and criminal matters. He has appealed numerous criminal convictions and sentences. He has also appealed family and probate court decisions.

Michael began honing his research and writing skills at the University of Michigan Law School, where he was awarded the school's Scholarly Writing Award. He then served a two-year judicial clerkship with the Alaska Court of Appeals where he researched numerous cases and drafted many legal memoranda.
