Jennifer L E Williams Attorney At Law
My law firm is dedicated to helping families obtain safe permanent homes for children. We are available to represent you in a wide variety of legal matters involving your family and have the experience to provide whatever is necessary to seek the result your family deserves. As an adoption attorney, child welfare litigator, and family mediator, I have dedicated my twenty-year career to advocating for the protection, health and welfare of innocent children.

With my specialized training and expertise, I will honestly, diligently and aggressively represent you to fight for the best interests of your children. Prior to obtaining my law degree, I was employed as a youth services officer for juvenile court where I worked daily with families to address the needs of the children in their home.

In 2000, I graduated from the Nashville School of Law and obtained my law license, then I spent my first two years as an attorney employed as the Assistant General Counsel for the Tennessee Department of Children's Services.
Services
Your family can grow in many ways when you choose adoption, you are giving a child an opportunity to have a loving permanent home that may not otherwise have been an option with the child's birth family.
There are many ways adoption may be achieved and we would love to represent you in becoming a loving forever home for a child.
Adoptions are very technical from a legal perspective and should only be pursued with the assistance of an experienced adoption attorney.
Some of the components involve adoption home studies through a state-approved licensed child-placing agency, voluntary surrender or consent by a birth parent for adoption, involuntary termination of birth parents' rights for adoption, interstate requirements for adoptions crossing state lines, and appellate actions.
As a Child Welfare Law Specialist (CWLS), I have focused my practice on the welfare of children.
For nearly two decades I have handled an expansive variety of legal issues involving children from establishing or modifying parenting plans or child support to advocating for the protection of dependent/neglected or abused children.
In Tennessee when certain circumstances exist, then a legal basis may entitle a grandparent to visitation by court order.
Some of these circumstances include when a grandparent has been the caregiver or has a long-term established relationship with a child and visitation is being denied or severely reduced, or a parent of the child is deceased.
