Founder Steve Nordyke has dedicated his entire professional career to helping individuals and families whose lives have been shattered by personal injuries.
For over 37 years, Steve has provided his clients with personalized legal representation with a strong track record of earning his clients the top compensation they are entitled to and deserve.
Steve founded Nordyke Law Offices in 1983 with his wife Debbie, and works alongside his daughter and attorney Hope Nordyke McCoy.
Steve and his family are committed to doing right by you and your family and "making things right for you".
Born and raised in Butler, Missouri, Hope Nordyke McCoy took to law early.
She began working at Nordyke Law Offices in high school and continued through college.
She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Central Missouri with undergraduate degrees in political science and psychology.
While obtaining her law degree from University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, she was a staff member of the Law Review and the Urban Lawyer Journal and she participated on the mock trial team.
Hope also interned at the Jackson County Prosecutor's Office, the Missouri Court of Appeals for the Western District, and worked at a plaintiff injury law firm.
Debbie co-founded Nordyke Law offices with her husband Steve in 1983.
As the the office manager, she has been instrumental in growing the firm while maintaining lasting relationships with clients and the community.
Debbie wears many hats but her priority is to make sure clients feel at home and everything goes smoothly - much in the way she does with her own family of three children and three grandchildren.
In car accident cases, it often comes down to who caused the collision or who was the negligent party.
Sounds simple?
It's not!
Negligence is used to prove that one acted carelessly or in a thoughtless manner such as failing to yield, running a red light and reckless driving.
If a driver fails to operate a vehicle in a reasonable manner, that driver is liable for injuring the accident victim.
However, even if one party is clearly negligent, it can still be claimed that you were also negligent in other ways such as failing to keep a careful lookout and contributed to causing the accident.
Truck drivers have the responsibility of driving enormous vehicles loaded with cargo, which is often hazardous materials.
It's a tough job, and most truck drivers do an excellent job by following the rules of the road.
Unfortunately, there are truck drivers and trucking companies that fail to follow the rules of the road and the consequences can be devastating.
Weighing more than 80,000 pounds when fully loaded, trucks are approximately 20 times heavier than the average passenger car.
About 500,000 truck accidents happen in the United States each year.
