Mr. MacLeod founded MacLeod Law Group, LLC in 2017 and is head of the firm's Local Government Practice Group.
Mr. MacLeod also concentrates in real estate, business and environmental law and serves as general counsel to various non-profit organizations and trade associations.
As a registered lobbyist, Mr. MacLeod advocates for select clients before Legislative and Executive branch agencies.
Mr. MacLeod headed the firm's Local Government and Real Estate Practice Groups, while serving as special counsel to various non-profit organizations and public entities on a broad spectrum of legal matters.
C. Daniel Saunders graduated with honors from Washington College in 1968 and the University of Maryland School of Law in 1972.
He has received the highest peer-reviewed rating for advocacy skills and integrity by Martindale Hubbell for over a quarter of a century.
Primarily a trial lawyer, he also excels in guiding business clients in the avoidance of litigation.
Complex civil litigation, criminal defense, government regulation and appellate practice constitute the majority of his practice.
Aside from the civil litigation for which he is best known, Dan has extensive experience representing criminal defendants for virtually every kind of case from DWI to capital murder.
Prior to joining MacLeod Law Group, LLC, from 2001 to 2009, Mr. Meehan was a partner in the Chestertown law firm of Wright & Meehan and from 2010 to 2017, was senior counsel with the Law Offices of Stephen Z. Meehan in Chestertown.
Prior to moving to Maryland's Eastern Shore, Mr. Meehan practiced law in Northern Virginia and the District of Columbia.
From 1987 to 1996, Mr. Meehan was an associate and later a director and shareholder with Murphy McGettigan Richards & West, P.C. in Alexandria, Virginia, and from 1997 to 1999, was senior counsel with Jackson & Campbell, P.C. in Washington, D.C. From 1996 to 1997 and from 1999 to 2001, Mr. Meehan was a solo practitioner in Northern Virginia.
From 2005 to 2017, Mr. Thomas was an associate and senior counsel with Funk & Bolton, P.A. in the firm's Chestertown office, where he concentrated in local government, business, real estate and family law, estate planning and civil litigation.
From 2002 to 2005, Mr. Thomas was a law clerk with Sellers, Fox, Kahn & Bender, P.A. in Baltimore, Maryland.
Mr. Thomas is a 2001 graduate of the University of Maryland-College Park (B.A., Criminal Justice) and a 2004 graduate of the University of Baltimore School of Law (J.D., concentrations in Business Law and Intellectual Property Law).
Lance Young's focus areas include civil litigation, administrative law, government procurement/contract disputes, construction law, land use and zoning, criminal defense, guardianship matters, and local government.
Lance graduated from Roger Williams University School of Law in 2006.
He is a former litigation associate of Rifkin, Livingston, Levitan & Silver.
Prior to joining the firm, he worked as an Assistant Attorney General serving the State Highway Administration and attorney for the Maryland Department of Information Technology.
