Services
Whether you have been charged with a felony or misdemeanor, you need an experienced trial defense attorney at your side.
My firm, Oller Law Firm, LLC in Hays, Kansas is the answer you need when you're accused of and charged with a crime.
Since 1985, I have guided numerous clients to positive results with their criminal case, whether it's a reduced sentence or a dropped charge altogether.
Even seemingly "small" charges can result in devastating penalties that can have a large impact on how you live your life day to day, from applying for jobs to finding housing or receiving loans.
DUI charges are not selective as through race, class or gender.
I have represented doctors, lawyers, and professors.
I have represented business people.
I have represented college students.
I have represented people who are poor.
Black, white, Hispanic.
Males and females.
It is the common man's crime.
If there is a crime that everybody for the grace of God commits, it is driving under the influence.
That is unfortunate, because we find a lot of really good people who get charged with driving under the influence, and for some of those people it will affect their careers.
If there is a breath test or there is a blood test after the blood test comes back there is an administrative action that is brought by the State of Kansas to limit, restrict, or suspend a person's driving privileges.
There is a strict timeline as to when they have to request a hearing concerning that action.
Sometimes the worst penalty for a person is if they lose their driver's license for a year and they cannot drive.
Particularly in rural areas that I work in.
We do not have a lot of public transportation.
Facing criminal charges is never easy, but when you've been charged with a sex crime, you could be dealing with serious consequences long before you ever even have the chance to defend yourself in court.
Accusations alone have the potential to get you fired, lose your family and friends, and completely outcast you from your social circle.
If you're eventually found guilty of any charges, you could be facing even more consequences that can vary from legal fines to actual jail time.
Suffice it to say, there's a lot at risk when you're charged with a sex crime.
Facing charges of drug possession is always treated as a serious offense in the eyes of the law.
All states regulate and control the possession of controlled dangerous substances, although most have their own unique definition of what constitutes a "controlled substance."
In the state of Kansas, a number of different drugs are classified as a controlled substance, from well-known drugs like marijuana to lesser-known substances like the compounds used to manufacture hard drugs like cocaine and heroin.
