The predecessor to the PLLC was founded in 1985 by W. Leslie Johnson Jr. and Thomas M. Johnson.
Their goal was to meet the needs of the people of Southeastern North Carolina.
W. Leslie Johnson Jr. and Thomas M. Johnson bought the old Tudor style building former Dr. Bennet's medical practice at 302 W. Broad Street and converted it into a law office.
In 2002 the firm expanded into a 3100 square foot addition with a library and several conference rooms to accommodate clients.
