Thomas Peters is a second-generation attorney, following in the footsteps of his father, Nelson M J Peters.
He received his B.A. in Psychology, English, and Education from Bates College in 1972.
He then attended the University of Southern Maine and received a M.S. Ed. with honors in Counseling Education.
This led to a short career in mental health services, including a 4-year term as the Clinical Director of Franklin and Oxford Counties.
It was in this field that Tom realized that he wanted to be an active member of Maine's legal community to help shape policy and help others navigate its confusing maze.
