I am dedicated to defending those charged with Driving While Intoxicated and other violations of the law. I will passionately defend your rights and will fight to achieve the best possible outcome for your case. I have experience taking cases to a jury trial ranging from Capital Murder to traffic tickets. No matter what you are charged with, my goal is to get you and your family through this situation as best as possible.

When you hire me to represent you, I promise that you will have my utmost devotion and attention to you and your case. As a former Prosecutor in Comal and Bexar counties, I know what it takes to defeat the overwhelming resources of the government. I have tried over 100 cases to juries and judges in Texas and am proud of my record in trial and before trial.

I obtained my law degree from St. Mary's University School of Law in 2007. While in law school, I clerked for Judge John Gabriel of the 131st District Court of Bexar County. I then went to work first at the Bexar County District Attorney's Office and then for the Comal County District Attorney.

Driving While Intoxicated is a very serious charge that can have life lasting consequences.
I am a former Assistant District Attorney for Bexar and Comal counties.
I learned the finer points of Texas DWI law as a member of the Bexar County DWI Task Force.
Now I am a Criminal Defense Attorney dedicated to defending those accused of DWI.
I offer DWI defense throughout Texas including: New Braunfels, San Marcos, Austin, San Antonio, Seguin, Schertz, Universal City, Bulverde, Buda, Kyle, and Lockhart.
Under Texas law a person is legally intoxicated if their blood alcohol content (BAC) is 0.08 or higher.
Breath testing is the most commonly utilized method for the police to determine your BAC.
The police like it because it is the cheapest test to administer and requires the least amount of paperwork for the arresting officer.
If you are arrested for DWI in Texas then you will most likely be asked to give a sample of your breath.
The government uses a machine called the Intoxilyzer 5000 to take breath samples.
Even under the strictest of conditions, the SFSTs are inaccurate a third of the time.
The government's own research indicates that the test results are only valid when administered in strict compliance with NHTSA protocol.
It is crucial that you have me review the manner in which the SFSTs were administered to see if the cop followed the protocol.
I may be able to suppress the results of an improperly administered test.
Commonly called the "eye test."
This is usually the first test the cop will ask you to do after ordering out of your car.
When you are arrested for DWI in Texas you face a Texas license suspension.
The Texas license suspension goes into effect 40 days after you are issued notice of the suspension.
This notice is normally issued to you at the time you test over a.08 BAC or if you refuse to submit to a breath or blood sample.
You only have 15 days from the date you are issued notice to fight the Texas license suspension.
It is important that you contact me right away to protect your driver's license.
When you are arrested for DWI you face two separate legal actions.
