If you have been married for less than five years, have no children, real estate, assets and minimal debts and each party will waive the right to receive spousal support then you may qualify for a summary dissolution.
Both parties must sign the Joint Petition and complete the required disclosures and execute a Settlement Agreement.
The six-month waiting period commences at the filing of the Joint Petition.
There is one filing fee required.
Either party may revoke the Petition during the six month waiting period.
It is imperative that you be able to spend time with your child/children at the initial stages of the dissolution proceeding.
Often the court will look to the past schedule of time sharing to determine future timeshare.
If your spouse is not allowing you to spend time with your child/children you need to immediately file a request for order to implement an order for custody and visitation.
Upon filing, the court clerk will issue orders for both parties to attend family court services(FCS) and a court hearing (two different dates).
While many aspects of divorce and child custody are negotiable for the parties involved, child support is usually not one of them.
The state of California has very cut and dry guidelines for how support levels will be set in the divorce decree.
These support levels can change as a result of changes in income and other factors, and an experienced lawyer can assist you in collecting the support you deserve.

Greg is very knowledgeable and experienced attorney. I received a lot great and helpful advice from him. He helped me understand the process so that my ex-wife and I could do the most ourselves and not spend all our money getting a divorce. I can't say enough about the professionalism he demonstrated and would like to thank him for the work and support during all these months.
