I am currently deployed and living overseas and I was given a referral by our legal support officers through LifeCare as someone who can create a document I needed. She agreed to the terms and the time frame I needed it. I've had referrals from LegalAid LifeCare before and they all went well, however, this was a nightmare. I honestly wished I had read reviews on her before making that retainer payment. Before paying her, she replied to my emails and picked up a call the same day or the next day.
After paying her, it took over a week, and no response to questions and concerns. Up until now, she hasn't finalized my documents. I paid $750 for it, and I haven't heard from her for over a week. She sent me a draft and asked me to review it and reach out if I have questions or concerns. Originally, she told me she would draft her own because a similar copy of the document I gave her doesn't meet the state of Maryland standard, however, the draft that she sent me was a modified copy of the document I initially gave her.
Similar to other's review, she ignored my communications each time I reached out and so far haven’t heard from her since October 27, 2023. It's like I don't even exist to her anymore since she already took my money without her service being completely rendered.
During her virtual consultation, she appears to be such a great person and you end up being so comfortable enough to hire her and pay her but then the nightmare begins after you pay her. I have been treated the same way all the other reviewers have posted on Avvo, google, and such regarding her lack of communication and ignoring them for weeks, months, and so on. At this point, I am just fighting to get my money back. Her license to practice law should be revoked if she doesn't care about her clients after they pay her. It's like a money grab or quantity of clients over the quality of her service since she works alone. I have reported her to the Office of Bar Counsel and everyone else she has mistreated with her lack of customer service should do the same. It's not fair to pay all that money to be ignored and left hanging.
