Kulerski & Cornelison Law Offices
We are attorney / partners - Richard Kulerski and Kari Cornelison. Our practice is limited to divorce law, and we are strong advocates of the non-court / settlement approach to marital dissolution. We see going to court as a last resort. Your collaborative lawyer spends 100% of his or her time, energy, and creativity helping you to get a settlement BEFORE your divorce has a chance to become frustrating, costly, and harmful to your family spirit.

Note: We are not like doctors who make you wait 2-3 weeks for an appointment. Except for the rare occasions when both of our attorneys are on trial, we will meet with you within two days. We believe that going to trial in divorce should be your last resort. It should not be the norm. We want to help you avoid the typical hassle that many divorcing couples endure.

We are trained, experienced, and certified divorce mediators, collaborative divorce law practitioners, and we stand in the forefront of the Cooperative Divorce Law movement. Judge Michael P. Scopelitis and Charlie Asher comment on Richard Kulerski's article - How Do Divorce Lawyers Divorce?.

This is what we value, it is who we are, and it is where we remain headed.
Why should you believe that two strangers (especially when they are divorce lawyers) would go out of their way to charge you less?.
There are many financial aspects to consider in divorce: allocation of parental responsibilities, child support, property division, support, alimony (known in Illinois as spousal maintenance), and many other considerations.
Cost is important, but it is equally important to make sure that your divorce is done fairly and that your rights are protected.
