After obtaining her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh, Attorney Sulanowski began her work with families as a Research Assistant at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic. There she conducted psychological assessments on at-risk children and their families to determine the efficacy of cognitive behavioral family therapy.
To assist families in a greater capacity, Anna subsequently obtained her J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law where she interned with the Duquesne Family Law Clinic, assisting pro se clients with family law issues including drafting motions, petitions, and complaints and presenting them to the Judges in Allegheny County Family Division. Anna also interned with KidsVoice, where she represented foster children as Guardian Ad Litem at dependency hearings.
She advocated both in the courtroom and the community to ensure a safe and permanent home for abused, neglected, and at-risk children. She later interned with Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County, focusing most of her time in the Domestic Violence Clinic.

Services
A retainer is an advanced lump sum paid by a client to secure the services of an attorney.
Pennsylvania Rule of Professional Conduct 1.15 requires these funds be deposited into a trust account and the funds are transferred as the legal services are performed.
An initial retainer may or may not cover a client's legal fees in entirety.
This is because retainers pertain to a certain amount of time, not a specific case.
By way of example, an attorney who bills at $200 per hour estimates it will take at least 10 hours to see your case to completion; the attorney will charge an initial retainer of $2,000 to begin work on your case.
