Joann Long is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) where she earned a bachelor's degree in Business.
She went on to attend Drake University Law School in Des Moines, Iowa and started practicing law in 1984, handling primarily domestic relations matters.
