Bergman, Esq. was in the vanguard of New Jersey's mediation practitioners, having been appointed by the United States District Court, District of New Jersey to its Blue Ribbon Commission for implementation of its pilot program in 1990. Since that time, he has established a extensive mediation practice in both federal and state courts across a number of subject matter areas.

Mr. Bergman teaches Negotiation and Dispute Resolution at the Wharton School of Business, Department of Legal Studies and Business Ethics, University of Pennsylvania.
He is a recipient of the 2010-2011 William G. Whitney Award for Undergraduate Teaching.
