Services
In the summer of 1990, four partners from the largest law firm in Amarillo, left the comforts of the status quo and embarked on an adventure that ultimately became the Sprouse Shrader Smith Law Firm.
Fueled by a vision to provide innovative, client-centered legal services, this group soon learned the difficulties, but also the rewards, of creating an organization whose goal has always been to "spoil the client".
Without much more in our pockets than their reputations, they rented some furniture, leased some space in the old Pioneer Oil and Gas offices and went to work.
Sprouse Shrader Smith has Law Offices across the State of Texas to better serve you and your legal needs.
Our attorneys from each location work collaboratively with those in other locations to make sure our clients' legal needs are met in the most effective manner.

Sprouse Shrader Smith's Agriculture and Agribusiness attorneys provide a wide range of legal services to clients in the agricultural industry, including working to identify and address current and emerging issues of importance to the agricultural community.
Our attorneys have experience in a wide variety of agricultural areas and are among the most prominent members of the Texas legal community serving agricultural businesses and individuals.
The firm's Agriculture and Agribusiness attorneys represent both individual farmers and ranchers, as well as feed yards and grow yards; processors and distributors; and various lenders, suppliers, and service businesses.
Over the past two years, banking regulations have undergone substantial changes, and many financial institutions, particularly smaller banks, are bearing the brunt of such changes.
We understand that the banking market - particularly in the Panhandle - is highly competitive, so we've made 'how to compete' our business.
We provide legal advice on all aspects of lending transactions and documentation, corporate banking activities - including branch acquisitions and divestitures, mergers, S Corp conversions, private offerings of securities, regulatory compliance and examination issues, and general corporate governance matters.
When dealing with distressed creditor situations, Sprouse lawyers have decades of experience representing a diverse range of clients from leading financial institutions, large publically traded companies, equity security holders to individuals, trade creditors, community banks and small businesses in a broad range of issues that may arise.
In addition to walking our business and consumer clients through traditional bankruptcy proceedings, Sprouse lawyers are also able to use their extensive knowledge of non-bankruptcy workouts and reorganization projects to help clients avoid the risk of bankruptcy.
