My academic career began at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and graduated with honors, cum laude, in 1996.
In the fall of that same year, I returned to Louisville, where I graduated with cum laude honors in 1999 from Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville, earning a Juris Doctor.
In October of 1999, I was admitted to practice law in Kentucky and began as an associate with a local firm representing injured people in workers' compensation claims; claims arising from automobile, truck, and motorcycle accidents; and other personal injury claims.
