Services
Illinois law defines "assault" as something that occurs when one individual engages in conduct that directly places another individual in a position that leaves them with reasonable fear of receiving a battery of some sort.
Battery is when an individual directly causes bodily harm to another person.
Additionally, battery can hapen when a person insults another to a certain degree to provokes physical contact with them.
If you cause harm to someone else directly by using your own hands (or a weapon under your control), you have committed battery.
Getting your commercial driver's license (CDL) is a privilege.
Having one can give you the opportunity to make a nice living.
Driving delivery trucks, 18-wheelers, or commercial vehicles are all good occupations and having your CDL suspended or revoked can seriously impact your ability to make a living.
If you can't drive, you cannot earn a living.
A traffic ticket on your MVR - motor vehicle record can raise your insurance premiums and can affect current and / or future employment.
Attorney Walsh has been able to help his clients have tickets dismissed, and in some cases - have tickets changed to a non-moving violation.
When a relationship becomes violent, it is always a serious and cause for concern.
This is true even when the people in question have no prior relationship.
When the individuals in question have an extensive relationship - the circumstances can become even more difficult to navigate.
When physical violence altercation happens within relationship or within a family, the charges involved may be considered domestic violence rather assault or battery.
As the name implies, domestic violence is violence that occurs within the home or family.
In Illinois, driving is a privilege - the Illinois Secretary of State's office (SOS) can suspend or revoke your driver's license for many different offenses.
Once your driving privileges have been suspended or revoked, you must take action to get your driver's license reinstated.
Once yourperiod of suspension ends, your driver's license is not automatically reinstated - you must take steps to reinstate and restore your driving privileges.
A suspension is the loss of driving privileges for a specified time period.
If you have been charged with a DUI - the sooner you take action in defending yourself, the better your chances are of preventing the suspension of your driver's license and winning your case.
Attorney Walsh has extensive experience representing all drivers, including adults, juveniles and CDL holders (commercial drivers).
A top DUI attorney should be able to explain to you the numerous possible outcomes of your case.
He or she should also listen to you and work with you to help you achieve your goals - retaining your driving privileges, avoiding a permanent criminal record, avoiding paying a hefty fine or staying out of jail.
